Le café scientifique de mai 2012 a le plaisir d’inviter Mme Nathalie Constantin, Collaboratrice scientifique, Centre intégratif de génomique (CIG), Université de Lausanne (UNIL).
Mme Nathalie Constantin, auteure du livre La nutrigénomique dans votre assiette (Wahli W., Constantin N. De Boeck, Bruxelles, 212 p., 2011) nous parlera de la nutrigénomique, une toute nouvelle discipline qui s’intéresse à l’action de certaines substances provenant de l’alimentation sur l’expression des gènes.

PhD Movie: diffusion le 23 mai sur le campus UNIL-Dorigny à 18h30
Have you ever asked yourself « Why am I doing this Phd? » after another desperate day at the University. If your answer is yes, come and join us all to spend a nice evening laughing about all the crazy things that we have to deal with everyday. We promise you that « Piled Higher and Deeper », based on the famous comic strip created by Jorge Cham, will make you see your Phd and assistant work from another perspective!
The screening of the movie will take place the 23rd of May at the Internef Room 273 at 18:30. The movie lasts for about 1h and is FREE! The movie will be in English, unfortunately without subtitles, since it’s a small production…
No inscription required, but the room can only hold 200 people so try to get there on time!!!

Life Science Career Day 2012
Which are the career opportunities for young scientists with a Bachelor, Master or Doctoral degree? And after a postdoctoral experience?
Wishing to provide some answers, our campus will host on May 2nd a symposium on Life Science career opportunities (Génopode/ UNIL-Sorge, 14h00-18h00).
During an afternoon, scientists will share their professional experiences within the biomedical industry and other public institutions. Topics such as pre-clinical and clinical research, medical and science communication, start-ups and career opportunities within the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) will be addressed.
This event is organized by the School of Biology and the Doctoral School FBM, in collaboration with the Lemanic Neuroscience Doctoral School.
Registration is free but required. Number of participants is limited: Register early here!

PhD Welcome Session
Welcome session for the new PhD students of the FBM.
For all your questions about your PhD organization, PhD program, or about the life in Lausanne, members of the doctoral school and the ADAS will answer you. These sessions happen in a good atmosphere, accompanied by a cheese and wine party!!
All PhD students at the FBM from autumn 2011 or older are invited to join us:
- At CHUV: Wednesday March 28st at 5.15pm, room « Andros », 8th floor, BL08, near the cafeteria.
- At Dorigny: Tuesday April 3rd at 5.15pm, room 2107, Building Biophore, UNIL-Sorge.

Accueil des nouveaux doctorants de la FBM.
Si vous vous posez des questions à propos de l’organisation de votre doctorat, des démarches administratives, de votre programme spécifique, de l’obtention des crédits ou bien encore de la vie à Lausanne, vous recevrez toutes les informations que vous voulez par les représentants de l’école doctorale et de l’ADAS qui se feront un plaisir de vous répondre. Le tout dans une ambiance décontractée autour d’un apéro!
Tous les doctorants de l’Ecole Doctorale de la FBM, qu’ils soient inscrits depuis le semestre d’automne 2011 ou depuis plus longtemps sont bienvenus :
