Applied Worshop: case studies in groups
– Context of the study area (geographic conditions, prevailing issues and problems)
– Identification of prevailing hazards based on available data (maps, DEMs, etc)
– Modelling of hazards- Land use and land use changes
– Socio-economic conditions and vulnerability
– Risk reduction options: community-based, hard protection measures, watershed management- Presentation of results and discussion
